Community Thrift of Virginia is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization located in Richmond, VA. Our mission is to provide high quality secondhand items at affordable prices while also distributing free clothing, housewares and food to those in need through our voucher program. By partnering with local agencies, we provide essential items to those facing hardship, helping them meet immediate needs with dignity.
Through our volunteer program, we also create opportunities for individuals to gain valuable skills in customer service, retail management, and community outreach, fostering personal growth and career readiness. Together, we strive to build a stronger, more supportive community where everyone has the resources and opportunities to thrive.
Community Thrift of Virginia is an independent store and not backed by any larger organization. Our only agenda is distributing items to those in need and providing real thrift prices for our community.
We accept gently used clothing, housewares, media, toys and any general items thrift stores usually sell. We cannot accept large furniture or mattresses. All donations can be made during operating hours at the front door.
